“Auditory processing is what the brain does with what the ear hears.”

~ Jack Katz, PhD. A leading pioneer in audiology and developer of the Buffalo Model for Auditory Processing

While the technology used to digitally transmit the human voice between mobile phones is complicated, it’s nothing compared to the complexity of how human beings perceive speech, process it and ultimately derive meaning. What is known is listening is intricate and multisensory.

Finally and most reassuringly, we know that our listening ability, measured by the accuracy of our understanding, is improvable with motivation and practice.

~ Kate Murphy You’re Not Listening

“OMT changed everything! I speak more clearly, sleep better, and now that I’m chewing and swallowing the right way, I can taste food better!”
